25 Reasons I can’t wait for Christmas.

Yes! Its August but I and everyone else seems to be feeling a little festive! I think it gets to this point every years, when the X factor count down rears its ugly head and we start to wonder if it’s too soon to bulk buy mulled wine. Or is that just me?

So, I thought I would make a list of all the Christmas greatness. Enjoy, Grinch’s !

    1. Mulled wine.
    2. The smell of a Christmas Tree, it’s magic.
    3. Watching the weekly Harry Potter film even though you have the boxset gathering dust.
    4. Strictly vs. Xfactor debate- we are most definitely Strictly.
    5. Bitter Christmas babies looking exasperated because in the run up to Christmas their least favorite aunt gave them a Christmas card as a birthday one. Speaking as a Christmas baby, we are grateful but it’s EVERY DAMN YEAR!
    6. MINCE PIES= Pastry filled with Christmas goodness.
    7. Family meals. Nothing can beat that cheesy grin of a grandparent at the head of the table watching their family adoringly.
    9. Binge watching every Christmas/Disney film and proclaiming your love for them all.
    10. Festive candles- there isn’t a better candle that Yankee Christmas Eve. Sorry, but any other is just not acceptable.
    11. Christmas Markets.
    12. All the food.
    13. Food regret- whilst opening the quality street tin. No calories at Christmas?
    14. Convincing yourself that this year is the year it’s going to snow. And it doesn’t.
    15. Dad’s anger when you kick his arse at trivial pursuit.
    16. Spending time with that one favourite cousin you never see.
    17. Dressing dogs up.
    18. Lights, all the beautiful twinkly lights.
    19. Pigs in Blankets. Drool.
    20. Mulled wine, again but we only get it once a festive year!
    21. Christmas jumpers
    22. Boxing day laziness
    23. Christmas Eve panic, wrapping at 11.45pm- YOU CAN DO IT!
    24. Baileys. Original- no fancy flavours needed.
    25. A massive Christmas cuddle from your dad after he opens the rubbish pair of socks you get him every year. Bliss.

If you haven’t guessed, Christmas is very well loved in our house. Or at least the build up is. Christmas is about spending time with the people we care about, we truly never know how long we have them for. So, here’s to Christmas in August!
